About Me

Hello my name is Kirsty Tudor, I live in Falkland with my daughter, my son has left home, and my menagerie of animals including a beautiful fibre flock of quirky sheep, lots of  guinea pigs (I have a wee piggy sanctuary), 2 rabbits, 8 ponies,  5 dogs, our cat Aris who may appear and peekin the workshop window and my honey bees.   When I am not looking after them, I  love exploring nature and seeking inspiration at the beach or in the woods beside my house. I have a beautiful purpose-built workshop in my garden, over a bridge with a wee stream, and LOVE making felt and sharing my love of felt with people even more.                                                                                            I learned to make felt 29  years ago and  have been running workshops in Falkland for about 14 years in borrowed space. I am delighted to have a purpose-built workshop for Falkland Felts.  I run a wide variety of workshops for all ages and levels of experience. I have pre-advertised group workshops and offer private individual and group tuition too.  My workshops are small and friendly, I am always sad to see everyone leave at the end of the day!

In July 2026, I was very lucky to buy 12.8 acres of land locally where the sheep and ponies now live. I'm currently working on relocating myself and the business there. Briar Croft is currently under development, and I have lots of new, exciting packages and experiences in store!! To keep up with these developments,   keep an eye on Facebook!             

I also sell supplies for spinning, knitting, weaving. crochet, felting and sheep and collie themed gifts. I'm working on developing the shop "The Sheep-O-rium" online. I often have second-hand wool processing, spinning and weaving equipment for sale and have a selection of spinning wheels you can come and try.  I only sell British Yarn and Fibre and have an exciting range of my own hand-dyed yarns and fibres coming soon!   Get in touch if you need anything or have pre loved equipment to sell.
